Working from their home in Augusta, father and son team Alfred and Pete Gagne created their first 8"concrete block back in 1945. At that time, the machine made only a single block each time. Modern technologies have much improved the turnaround time to create products, but the hard work and dedication that went into the first concrete block are still very much in evidence today. Since its modest beginnings in 1945, Gagne & Son has grown to include seven locations across Maine:
Belgrade, Auburn, Westbrook, Saco, Kittery, Topsham, and Naples.
